Charlotte's residential waste services offers appliance removal. Appliances are placed under the bulky items section.

List of appliances that are accepted for removal.
● Air conditioners - Window units only.
● Dishwasher - Empty.
● Dryer
● Freezer - Empty & remove door.
● Lawnmowers, including riding lawnmowers - Remove gasoline; remove battery, if applicable.
● Refrigerator - Empty & remove doors.
● Stove
● Trash compactor - Clean out.
● Washing machine
● Water heater
● Water tank - Empty; 75 lbs or less.

Functional/working appliances may be donated to non-profit organizations such as Goodwill Industries, United Way, Habitat for Humanity Restore or the Salvation Army.
